Balloon Jacket Knit Pattern

The Balloon Jacket is a button-less oversized cardigan with big balloon sleeves. Use it on cold winter days or as a spring and fall jacket.

The Balloon Jacket is worked bottom up in garter stitch with rib edges. The body and the sleeves are worked separately and seamed together in the end. Lastly, stitches are picked up at the front sides and neck to build the continuous front bands and collar in rib stitch.

Bear in mind that the Balloon Jacket will grow in length with wear.

Gauge: 13.5 stitches x 23 rows to 10cm in garter stitch on 7.00 mm needles after wash and blocking.

Yarn:

One strand of 8ply / DK / Light Worsted Weight Yarn held together with one strand of  2ply / Lace Weight Yarn. Alternatively, you could use one strand of 10ply / Worsted Weight Yarn.
